Commissioned as a gift for a long-time friend, this bespoke piece combines Sally’s exploration of aesthetic qualities in nature with themes of memory and narrative.
The client asked for a piece referencing her friends favourite season. The Autumn Bracelet began with a playful approach to designing; collaging and layering drawings and photographs combined Sally’s research into subtle details in familiar landscapes with references to charm bracelets, connecting themes of friendship and memory.

Leaves both solid and outlined represent the changing of the season, gently moving as if they might fall at any moment. Layered details in the chain links add to the sculptural and nature-inspired qualities in the piece. 

Sally uses antique hammers and rocks to create a subtle organic texture on the surface of the metal, reflecting light at different intensities as the leaves move with the wearer.
